Ari

Ari

Ari is one of Bangkok’s most popular neighborhoods among locals and travelers — known for its leafy streets, cozy cafés, and creative vibe.
But is Ari convenient for families with small children?

The short answer: yes.
In this article, we’ll show you how to spend a relaxed and enjoyable day in Ari with a toddler — without rushing, stress, or long distances.

Lunch & Brunch in Ari with a Toddler

Yellow Lane
Yellow Lane cafe

We usually start our Ari day with lunch or brunch at Yellow Lane.
It’s a very popular spot, tucked away in a green, peaceful oasis — a rare find in Bangkok.

Why it works well with a toddler:

  • outdoor greenery
  • high chairs available

If you’re in the mood for Thai food instead, there’s Mae Yui just nearby (also with high chairs), so you can easily choose based on your cravings.

Toy Shopping in Ari for Toddlers

Blue Ribbon

After lunch, we usually stop by Blue Ribbon Toys — a Thai brand specializing in high-quality wooden toys. This shop can’t be found on Google Maps, so the location is next to the Mae Yui restaurant.

The shop itself is small, but thoughtfully curated.
A little local tip:

  • we often get a 20% discount,
  • and if you spend over a certain amount, they give a 150 THB voucher for the Mae Yui restaurant.

A short visit here is perfect for toddlers — not overwhelming, but still exciting.

Coffee Breaks in Ari for Parents with Kids

Next stop: 34EIGHT — one of our favorite cafés in Ari.

This place is a gem for parents:

  • quiet and cozy
  • separate kids’ play area
  • no extra fee for the play zone
  • really good coffee

We usually take turns drinking our coffee while our toddler plays — a simple routine, but it makes the break actually relaxing.

Walking Around Ari with a Toddler

After some active play, it’s much easier to put your toddler into the stroller. Is Ari Stroller-Friendly? yes! That’s the perfect moment to slow down and simply walk around Ari — explore small streets, hidden cafés, and enjoy the neighborhood’s relaxed vibe.

No strict plan, no rushing — just a calm family walk.

Why Ari Is a Great Area for Families with Toddlers

  • stroller-friendly streets (by Bangkok standards 😉)
  • many cafés with high chairs
  • calm atmosphere compared to central areas
  • short distances between spots

If you’re looking for a neighborhood where parents and toddlers can both enjoy the day, Ari is a great choice.
