What is Forest of Play Bangkok?

Forest of Play Bangkok is a newly redesigned play space located at the PlanToys headquarters, created as a living example of sustainable and thoughtful play design.

The space is shaped like a Chinese junk ship and divided into different play zones:

Movement-based play

Movement-based play
  • role-play areas
  • construction zones
  • movement-based play
  • sensory exploration corners

Around 90% of the installations are made from recycled and upcycled materials, reflecting PlanToys’ philosophy: create more while using fewer new resources.

This is not just a playground - it’s a concept space, where sustainability meets child-led, open-ended play.

What we liked

Handmade marble run
Handmade marble run
  • PlanToys toys everywhere
If you’re considering buying something - this is basically a real-life showroom where your child can test toys before you buy.
  • Creative installations
The design feels different from typical indoor playgrounds - more thoughtful, less commercial.
  • Mirror maze
A highlight for us - our child absolutely loved it.

What to consider before visiting

  • No coffee or food
This is important - it’s not a place where you can comfortably spend a long time as a parent.
  • Not very clean
    They don’t have a no-shoes policy.
  • Rough finishing in some areas
The sustainability approach is great, but visually and physically it can feel a bit raw.
  • No dedicated kids’ toilet facilities or low sinks

Visiting hours & booking

The space operates in 3 daily sessions:

  • 10:00 – 11:30
  • 13:00 – 14:30
  • 15:00 – 16:30

Advance booking is required, so it’s best to plan your visit заранее and secure your spot via the Booking link.

Who is it best for?

  • Kids 3.5 to 10 years old
  • Families interested in Montessori-style or open-ended play
  • Parents who want to explore PlanToys products before buying

Final thoughts

Forest of Play Bangkok is an inspiring concept and a great example of sustainable design in practice.

But it feels more like:
👉 a short visit experience
👉 or a destination if you’re already nearby

- not a place to plan your whole day around.
